LIZBETH A. GALDAMEZ

Lizbeth A. Galdamez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993. She received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from New England School of Law in Boston, MA (school renamed New England Law/Boston) in 1996.

Lizbeth was admitted to the California State Bar and to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California in 1998. She was admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 2001. Lizbeth joined the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2001.

Lizbeth is originally from El Salvador and came to the U.S. as a young child to escape the civil war in the country and the threats against her family. Her family was granted asylum in the U.S. She speaks Spanish fluently. Her interest in immigration law stems from her family’s personal experience and desire to help others live better, safer lives.

Lizbeth has over 12 years of experience representing clients at various Immigration Courts (most often in San Francisco, CA) and various immigration offices (most often in Sacramento, CA) in connection with a number of immigration matters such as adjustment of status, naturalization, TPS, asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers of inadmissibility and removability, U visas, V visas, battered spouse petitions, work permits, removal proceedings, immigration bond proceedings and consular processing. Lizbeth has also represented clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Administrative Appeals Unit of the USCIS and the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
